How Credits Work
- 1 credit = 1 new lead - Each time you view or export a lead for the first time, it costs 1 credit
- Re-exports are free - Once you have used a credit on a lead, you can re-export or re-view that lead at no additional cost
- Credits apply to both Dashboard and API - Whether you browse leads on the Dashboard or fetch them via the API/MCP, the same credit system applies
Credit Types
Monthly Credits - Included with your subscription plan, these reset at the start of each billing cycle:

Permanent Credits - Purchased separately, these never expire and carry over month to month. They are used after your monthly credits run out.
Credit Priority
When you access a new lead, credits are consumed in this order:
- Monthly credits are used first
- Permanent credits are used after monthly credits are exhausted
Checking Your Balance
- On the Dashboard - Your credit balance is displayed in your account area
- Via API - Use GET /api/v1/me to see your current monthly and permanent credit balances
- Via MCP - Ask Claude "How many credits do I have left?"
Controlling Credit Usage
- maxCredits parameter - Set a cap on credits per API query or export
- maxResults parameter - Limit total results to control credit spend
- Filter presets - Use saved filters to consistently search the same criteria without wasting credits on irrelevant leads
- Keyword filters - Narrow results before exporting to use credits efficiently
Purchasing More Credits
If you need more credits beyond your monthly allocation:
- One-time purchases - Buy permanent credits from Account Settings > Billing tab or via the API
- Auto top-up - Configure automatic credit purchases when your permanent balance falls below a threshold
- Overage rates - Starter: 10 cents/credit, Growth: 7.5 cents, Scale: 5 cents, Platinum: 3 cents, Enterprise: 2 cents
Credit FAQ
Do unused monthly credits roll over? No, monthly credits reset each billing cycle. However, when you upgrade your plan, any unused monthly credits are automatically converted to permanent credits.
Can I get a refund for unused credits? Monthly credits are part of your subscription and are non-refundable. Permanent credit purchases are covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee (Starter, Growth, and Scale plans only).
Do I get charged per credit automatically? No, you only use credits when you actively search or export new leads. There are no surprise charges. Permanent credit purchases and auto top-up are separate, opt-in features.
